Not sure if I like this phone...

I just got my phone and I haven't even turned it on, but I don't think I like it. It seems to big. I'm not so sure if it is made with a lot of quality. Don't look like it to me. I think I should try something else. What is your opinion of this phone? I am coming off a LG6000 and loved that phone. I only have 15 days to decide.

so you buy a phone that you think is to big and has poor build quality. then you don't even turn it on, then get on phonescoop and ask for opinions on a phone that you have not even turned on.

Ok you don't have to be rude. I never seen this phone I just order it off the internet after hearing reviews about it. And no need for a reply from you.

i had an LG VX8000 which i LOVED, but had to get it serviced 3 times, so they let me get a new phone. Alas, there were no more 8000s to be had so i settled for the 815. doesn't feel as solid as my 8K but the signal stregnth is much better for some reason...

I tried the 815 first and I too didn't like the size of it, the long antenna (too long when closed, not even open), the cheap feel, creaky hinge, etc. so went with the LG VX-8100 and couldn't be happier. It is an awesome phone.

If you like the 8100 so much, why are you still in this forum bothering us? 😕

Our preference is the 815 and this forum is for the 815 and helping other on using the features. 😁

Please make your remarks about the 8100 in the 8100 forum! 😛

I should have known to expect that from ppl in this forum! The original poster was asking opinions and that is what I gave. Yeah, I have an 8100 now, but that doesn't mean I have any less a right to be on here than you. If you look through the posts at various times, I have offered A LOT of help in this forum to 815 ppl. I read a lot of forums and offer help where I can! Get over yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why do you like the 8100 better? I am thinking about getting that phone instead of this 815. And is the signal as good as the 815?

I have never had signal problems. Never dropped a call, calls are clear all the time. I like the 8100 better for many reasons. Some being:
1. Feels solid, built "tough".
2. Like the looks of it.
3. With the new update you can now fully use the MP3 player with the front buttons complete with equalizer!
4. Menus are easy to navigate.
5. Exterior screen is amazing. Very clar and easy to see.
6. Colors on both displays are bright, clear and just awesome.
7. Camera is amazingly good for a phone (IMO).
I could go on and on, but these are just a few. The 815, IMO, felt cheap, was too big/long, creaky hinge, cheap keypad (though tons better than the one before it). Signal was always good on it too, though, and calls were very c...

I have a 815 that I replaced once (within the first couple of days and I love the new one (I have had it for over one month). the build is fine and it does seem solid to me. My first 815 I had I got by trading in my 8100. I think that what folks read here is the natural variables that each individual phone has to offer as compared to comparing particular models. This may very well be true for the 8100 as well.

The signal strength on the 815 in my area is better than the 8100. the menus are different and I get used to both so it was no big deal to me.
