E815 Freezing up

I have had my phone since July 9. One time while talking to a friend, I decided to try connecting the blue tooth headset in the middle of the call. Well, my phone froze. Basically, no keys work including trying to shut the phone down (nor were any calls able to come in). The only way I was able to fix it was to pull the battery out. I didn't think much of it & blamed myself for trying to turn on the blue tooth while on an active call. Then this morning I went to use my phone & it was FROZEN again!! I hadn't touched it all night (& used it before I went to bed). Now this has only happen two times in 8 days, but I'm bit worried. Anyone else out there having this issue? ☚ī¸

Mine has frozen twice while navigating thru Vcast videos. I think I was going thru videos too quickly. But the phone rebooted itself, so I didnt have to pull the battery out.

Freezing up is something that can happen with other phones too especially when changing something major like skins or wallpaper.

It is basically normal, or not a major problem, and a re-boot will set it all back ok. 😉

Nothing to worry about! 🙂

That's about the equivalent of your computer locking up when you change its wallpaper...something that should NEVER happen.

Take back the phone.

If you have a computer that has never locked up from loading a program or do other things, I would like to know what type it is!!! 🙄

If fact, Bil Gates would probably like to know. Even his locked up on stage during an demo!!! đŸ¤Ŗ

A Cell phone is nothing more than a very small computer in a phone case, lock ups do happen, that is totally normal, but not desirable. but it does happen.

Unless it happens with regularity with every day use, it is nothing to get excited about. A re-boot usually returns everything to normal, just...

Did you take your V710 back when it froze up? I was thinking it was due to my playing around with the Vcast last night & the bluetooth before. I hate to return it (got all my settings & the long customer service lines). If it happens next week, I will take your advice. Thanks.

Yes I took it back when it froze up, matter of fact I had to return my V710 3 times. Each one I had would lock up. Verizon never got mad when they exchanged it, they said the phone was still under warranty and gladly exchanged it. The only thing I didn't like when they exchanged it was, they gave me a refurb phone each time. When I took my 3rd one back they said they would give me a new one this time. I told them I didn't want a new one or V710 anymore due to the problems I was having. They told me I couldn't have another phone. So I went home and called Verizon and told them I was unhappy and that I was ready to close my account. They they told me I could exchange my phone for something of equal value or close to it. Hopefully you ...

Mine froze up with an issue with the TF card. I was remaming a picture I just took and the phone froze. Pulling the TF card out unfroze the phone and it rebooted. After some trial and error (about 2 hrs worth) I got everything to work. The short version: I moved my pics from the card to my PC,then wiped everything from the card, and then reformatted the card with my PC. When I put the card back in, the phone reformatted the card. Then I put my pics back on my card (in the proper directory) and I'm good to go.

I think the problem was I was saving pics directly to the TF card, the phone puts them in the root directory as opposed to the \motorola\shared\pictures\ directory. Since I had a mess of pictures there I exceeded the size for the ro...
