I'm trying to decide on buying the Motorola E815 or the LG VX8100. 😕 When you receive a call on the 8100, I heard that different color lights blink. I was wondering is there any type of option like that on the 815, and just in general how does it look when you receive an incoming call?

no disco lights on the e815, your external screen with light up with caller id --- thats basically it. the only difference is a tiny led on the 8100 has different colors.

I can't believe they put those annoying disco lights on the 8100. I returned a 7000 for that sole reason. I hope they at least put a switch to turn them off.

I now feel much better about my E815 choice.

I also had the 7000 and did not like the disco lights. If I were a teenager or Donna Summer then maybe it would be groovy. I've read that there is no way to turn off on 8100.

Thank goodness that the E815 doesn't have such 70s lighting! I would be embarrassed to have such a phone.

To the writer, it doesn't have your lighting, but it is the best cell phone I ever owed! I highly recommend it & you should give it a try!
