I WANT TO KEEP MY PHONE, BUT.....................................

I am becoming very, very discouraged with this phone and the poor audio in earpiece. I am on my 3rd phone, hoping that each phone would be better, but that's not the case. I'm surprised others haven't mentioned it that much. I really want to have this phone. I love everything about it, but this could be a major problem. Does anyone else have this problem? I have my volume set to 4 when talking. Any higher than that makes the callers sound scratchy. No one has a problem hearing me, which is great! I do have very good hearing. I've not had this problem with another phone. I am really losing my faith in Motorola! Please help! Advice????? 😢

I am actually in the same boat you are in i want to keep my phone as well but in the last couple days my phone has start to get some static and started to drop calls i don't think this is the right time to buy this phone i think it might be best to wait until Motorola gets the glitches on this phone fixed first and than go ahead and make a purchase for how bad that will suck to return this phone but its that or waste the $389.99 plus sales tax i have invested into this phone. I haven't had any volume problems though so i don't know what to tell you about that. Also with all these new issues coming out such as software and so forth it makes me a little concerned on what else might happen so its a matter of if we are willing to risk it or no...

I too am debating if I should keep the phone for the same reason! I don't feel that the earpiece should have such a volume range when you can't adjust it everywhere between the range. The audio is horrible at higher levels when there are higher pitched sounds being replicated.

I give the earpiece audio a 2 on a scale of 1-10!!

I got mine on Saturday & the quality of the audio is AWESOME! I hate to say it, but you need to try phone number 4. Try a different Verizon store. Maybe a bad batch was sent to the one you are using.

Motoman, I am shocked. You give every E815 owner the feeling that the glass is always half full in the quirky world of cell phones. The fact that you are no longer a believer in the E815 is a major blow to the cause, I mean that in all seriousness. It just goes to show you, whenever you jump on board and support something so vocally, you always get burned. That is why I have tried to temper endorsements with comments with pleny of contingencies like "subject to future reliability". With that said, I don't know what all has to be worked out with this phone, it is supposedly built on the V710 platform with a few refinements. I think it comes down to that a high percentage of cell phones don't pan out, perhaps 2 out of every 10. I can't ...
