Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood
Bad - Bad - Bad

What a joke. Bought an e815. What a piece of junk. Maybe the reception is better but the rest of the phone sucks. Sat in parking lot for 45 min playing with phone. The speakerphone can hardly be heard, even with windows shut. Vibrate feature - about 2 sec and can hardly feel it. Voice Dial - kept dialing wrong number on digit and kept sending to text. If I closed flip, opened it again and pressed voice, it would dial a previously spoken number without even asking. Name dial did not work either. I never left the parking lot and returned it. Got the same results with speakerphone on or off. That was my experience with it. Wouldn't take it if VZW gave it to me for free and paid my contract. 🤣 🤣 🤣< >

1. Speaker Independent Voice Recognition--The E815 has it, LG VX8100 doesn't. I'm actually quite surprised that LG didn't include this feature with the VX 8100. It seems almost archaic to me that you should have to go in and manually record all of your contacts names in order to use the voice dialing feature. Luckily, with the E815, you don't have to do that; it's set up with the speaker independent voice recognition software that automatically recognizes all your contacts. Awesome.
2. Bluetooth Connectivity--While a lot has been made on these boards about Verizon "crippling" Bluetooth functionality on all their Bluetooth phones, one thing is for certain. ...

Yeppers..fantastic phone!
Damn it! stop! I'm still waiting for it, I ordered on Wed online. I should get it tomorrow 😁
I keep my phone on Vibe mode 90% of the time (hate being rude in public with loud ringing cell phone). I can hardly feel this phone vibrate! It's a minor detail but happens to be very important to me. Accessing features involves extra key strokes than my old LG. I guess there are ways to short cut some of this but why should i have to? Speakerphone is disappointingly low. You must be in total silence to hear it clearly.
Reception, battery life and styling seem to be the best features (other then the peripheral stuff). Audio quality not in speaker mode is also good.
Still, I'll be returning this for the new LG. I'd give it a 7 out of 10.
