Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood

it should be the same data priotocol for the e815. The charger ports are the same, moto hasn't switched to USB on all their phones just yet. I'm not too familiar with mac, but i just sold the data kit to a mac user who has a brand new g5 running the latest os10 version. As for emailing mp3's, if it does work it will take FOREVER. I have the old software in my v710, and it took like 10 minutes to load one full mp3 from the transflash card to the phone. I would think loading it over the air would take even longer.
As for phonebook transfer and what not, check if your v265 s/w has an update feature to allow for the e815 parameters. They might be the same, but if not you shouldn't have to buy anything new.

browse wal-mart.com in their music section. 30 sec. clips of over 80k songs. I pilfer quite a few that way. You are allowed to store them to your desktop and whatever happens after that (**cough** end up on a transflash card **cough**) is all gravy. That's the best way to do it. You can also use your existing cd's by loading them into iTunes and converting them to mp3 format before cropping. I've done that too. Seems to work pretty well. 😁

You can get full audio ringers, but they're expensive. One day we cheaters of the system will find a way to succeed 😎

Anyone got isync running witrh this phone and BT?

BT recognizes it , but it wont let me send files to my phone. It tell me that the phone does not have the proper services. (what eva that means). Im still trying to get my mp3 as ringtones.

I have found NO way to put my contacts on my E815. ISync does not work (bt or cable) and DataPilot has yet to upgrade its software for that phone. My bt palm does not recognize it. Can Verizon move contacts from one phone to another?
I have seen many references to HowardForums but have not been able to reach that site. Any thoughts?

some guys over at Howardforums were able to get OBEX working. (if OBEX is enabled for mac then Isync can work)
But, you need a PC (which I dont have), and edit some seems and do some little hacking 🙂. US mac users are out of the loop, for now!
