Description

For the driven, ambitious technology lover. This phone delivers the image as well as the goods, with a full portfolio of top features including VCAST, a 1.3 megapizel camera and Bluetooth. Look for the E815 in your location July 5th.

This is pulled directly from the Verizon Wireless Indirect site. Looks like we will be seeing this phone very very soon.

My biggest question is: will the bluetooth be crippled like 710? I am sitting on the fence now leaning increasingly to go to Cingular because the V551 they have there seems just perfect for me.

OBEX and DUN are missing from this phones feature set.. It says it in the manual.. sucks I can deal with out OBEX but DUN I might keep my 710 for it or maybe someone will be able to activate the missing profiles.... oh and another thing it states in the manual the mp3 to phone will be disabled.. only mp3 off memory card and interestingly enough it also states you will be unable to take a vcast video saved on the phones memory and move it to you TF card

Well, well, well...
Natas! I thought you had finally left this forum, yet fate rears its ugly head once again. So now what!? You going to cry about the E815 because of its "crippledness" (if that's such a word)? Come on now. Lets just stop this before you start... again... You know, there are ways around these things. I'll be heading out to Circuit City on July 3rd to try and pick up an E815 for myself. If you would like to start a demonstration in front of the store, feel free! 😉

Gotta Love InfoManager LOL! 😁.

So i'm Guessing they are going to relase the phone in the Vcast Markets(on the 5th) only. Unless they get enough supply then they will probably distribute to all VZW stores. that's usually how it goes most of the time.

That would make sense because the big addition to the E815 is EV-DO...If you're in a market with no Vcast available, go with the V710.

the e815 is a revamped v710 that loses its analog support (good for if you live by the countrysides, like if you live in Michigan where coverage is spotty for most of the state. Living in Toledo,0h makes tri-mode necessary for me). Toledo also won't like be getting Vcast, nor would I want to be paying $15/month just for a bunch of 3-minute clips. blah

if you are all about waiting for vcast, go ahead. til then, no vcast and lack of analog support makes the e815 actually a worse-off choice than the v710.
