Has This Phone been Dropped

I am in Houston and have been to Best Buy, Fry's and Radio Shack and the guys working there have been hinting it has been disconinued. I am looking for the Sprint PCS version, if it has been discontinued ill wait for a new one.

Yes I work in an affiliate market. we recieved word today that the phone was no longer availible for ordering. No warning at all from Sanyo or Sprint. came as a suprise to us all, but makes sense with the price point of the 8300.

I guess I should add that we have had the 7400 for $299, the same price as the 8300, since i have worked in sprint for the last 3 months, less than sprint.com had them for
