I find it odd that RIM would choose T-Mobil to market this terrific (per all of the reviews and hype) unit exclusively and not go with a couple of providers. T-Mobil service is quite bad in the Southeast and its data network is substandard everywhere.

I'd like to try it but I guess I'll have to upgrade to a Treo 650.

What are you talking about...T-Mobile has the best coverage in the Southeast by far. T-Mobile has the best service for the best price, especially for the Blackberry 7100. Besides which you can't compare the Treo 650 to the Blackberry because the blackberry is primarily for e-mail and the treo is primarily for organization, they're two totally different usage aspects.

E-MAIL YOU CAN DO TONS OF EMAIL THROUGH THE VERSA MAIL FEATURE OF THE PHONE ORGANIZING ,,,JUST ONE WORD AMAZING. I don't know what part of the SouthEast you are in; but in NC/SC t-mobile does not exist.

Your choice for GSM coverage is either Cingular or SunCom since AT&T no longer exists.
