Hey does anybody that has this phone know how easily the phone and screen scratche? I am kinda rough with them at times and the main screen being on the outside kinda scares me off a little. 😕

You should invest in a screen protector. So insteadof your screen taking all the scratches the sceen protector will. And when it becomes very scratched up you just replace the screen protector.

where can you purchase these and how much are they?

i have a s710 and store it in my pocket. i've had it for about a month and no problem with the screen getting scratched, however the screen protector would be something nice to have..

Here's the screen protector that I use with my S710a. They arent cheap but they arent overly expensive either...

i got a screen protector at first, two of them actually, and after about 2 months both had died. so since about april i've been screen protectorless and i've been pleasantly surprised that the screen is as perfect as always. i keep it alone in my left pocket (with its headset), but i've dropped it a few times, it gets good use and wear, but screen is perfect!

lol.

i've been very happy with it, though i have the sneaking suspicion that the hinge is getting a little loose....but i honestly don't know. they keys are not good texting keys, i'll agree to that. especially because i dont use the dictionary out of protest, the phone really is not meant for hot texters like myself. other than that, i love it! the battery is great, charges fast and lasts a good two days if i forget to charge it. the camera is great, so is the mp3 player. simply amazing phone!

yea i think my hinge is getting a lil loose too.. the keys are for sure not the perfect texter keys.. i text all the time so they succk.. i dont use the dictionary myself.. they need to get moto's itap i think its called.. battery is awesome i agree, it does charge hella fast i love that..the camera is hot the screen is hot.. the mp3 player is very below average with the lack of any traditional mp3 keys and options at all.. the sound though is really good inside and out..i do love the phone i just need a texters dream phone with a full qwerty.. like i said i text way way way to much to have these issues with the phone..as a whole i do love the phone just could get alot of uprages. that is pretty normal with anything thoough so..

if you need a qwerty, get the Nokia 68-- (whatever the new one is), not a palmOne. though the palm is a great phone, anyone who has to walk around and talk to a brick looks like such a loser, it's not worth it, man. my dad got the last-gen 68-- and even though it has a crappy screen and camera, he loves that he can text so easily on it.

I would only recommend the 6820 if you txt primarily. I used one for a couple weeks at work. Although I loved its features & keyboard, the reception sucked. I could stand in one spot & watch the signal indicator spike up & down repeatedly. Maybe it was just a fluke with that one unit, but I thought this made it an embarassment to Nokia's great reputation for putting out phones with incredible reception.

I love this phone thus far. I text alot as well but this phone isnt really a problem for me.

I love being able to play MP3s as ringers, I have alot of fun with that, changing them and adding certain ones to certain people.

The camera, I take soo many pictures and its nice to have them be clear and all. Check out my photo blog at akaszuba.textamerica.com !

My swivel is slightly looser than when I first got it but it still locks in place both way as it should.

My biggest gripe about this phone is its horrible battery life. I screw around with my phone alot so I had to buy a car charger, and extra charger for work and so on.

Overall, I LOVE THIS PHONE! Im not getting rid of it for a very long time! 😁

I got my S710a 5/26, the ring around the lense is scratched horribly already! Screen is WAY more scratch resistant than this ring. No other metal parts scratch at all it would seem. Ring has grooves in it that make it easy to scrath & look like crud. not cool for 250-400 bucks, depending on where you got it. SE won't do anything about it but accept it for out of warranty repair for 150!! (2wks old!)
I love this phone but this design flaw and SE's handling will mostlikley force me to another phone.

Camera Ring scrathes easily!!! Watch out!!
Anyone else having this happen?
