I purchased an unlocked Motorola 878, which broke three weeks after the purchase. I sent the phone to the Motorola Texas repair center. First they lost the phone then they returned it unrepaired. I have been given several different excuses for Motorola's failure to repair, which includes the following: (1) The phone was not manufactured in the USA (however, none of the phones are). (2) The repair is too costly. (3) The phone was discontinued. (4) The repair center does not have the parts (5) Just buy another phone.
To date, Motorola has refused to honor its one year warranty. They have not repaired the phone, replaced the phone or resolved the situtation. During my last call to Motorola, a supervisor just hung up.
