charging problems?

Anyone have any problems charging this phone? My first charge worked as expected. I plugged in my charger and got an immediate readout on the LCD showing charging in progress.

Now however I don't know if the charge is taking or not. I plug in and get no sign that anything is happening. I have tried the home charger, car charger and even data cable hooked up to my laptop but no visible results. The batter icon shows full so it should be fine but this seems really wrong.

Any thoughts?

Can't really help on the battery thing, but maybe you can help me. Do you use this phone in the States for Cingular service? If not, who and where then? I would like to buy this now and not wait for the Cingular site to sell it, but I'm not sure if it can be used wint Cingular or not. Any info will be helpful!! Thanks!!

Yes, I do use Cingular and the phone works great. I purchased from ACS which advertises on this site.

Slainte,

www.4cellular.com is the ACS site. However, they don't update the website much anymore since they have such a strong local following. In other words, you won't see this phone on that site but they have it.

Also, I found some information yesterday that shows that Costco.com carries this phone and sells it brand new, unbranded and without a contract for $299!

Just go to Costco.com and start searching. I believe you do have to be a member or join which it seems costs about $45 to do. I am going to my local Costco store to see if they carry the phone in the store.

Good luck!

Let us know if Costco has them at their locations! 😁

I am in a suburb of Chicago and the answer is NO for this area. However, I was told by several employees at Costco that if I do buy a phone online and want to return it I may do so at the store.

Hope it helps!
