Startup/Shutown weird sound

Ok, let me see if I can explain this correctly... When I'm shutting down my phone, you know it does the normal diddlydiddlydiddlydiddly. But in the middle of that, it'll make this loud kinda bid-ilee-beep (KINDA like the low battery noise). And when I start it up, it does the same thing. Everything else seems to be working ok, but it just started doing this last night. Anyone have any ideas?

Its your service beep, it makes that sound whenever you lose or gain service coverage. You can turn it off in your settings.

Hey thanks! That makes sense now. I turned that feature on so long ago I forgot about it. I guess that goes to show Cingular's coverage...I never heard it beep unless I shut it of.
