I recently just had my Moto v400 replaced by Best Buy through my performance service plan. When the new phone arrived it did not have the Cingular badge at the bottom of the keypad like my old phone from Cingular had (it now just says 'V400'. I'm curious if this means my phone is unlocked or is there anyway I can find out if it is?

I doubt best buy has unlocked phones because they are a big retail store. Unlocked phones are made by 2nd or 3rd party companies who are licensed to re-produce the original phones you'll find in stores like best buy.Anyways, the easiest way you can see if your phone is unlocked is to put a sim card from another service provider like t-mobile for example and if you get service and can make and receive calls then your phone is definetly unlocked.
