Are you doing this through bluetooth? If so, Motorola has software available to manage files.

Mobile Phone Tools.

You can find version 2.0 on ebay with USB cable, which obviously you don't need, for about $25 after shipping and then you can upgrade to v3.11 for free through their liveupdate.

You could also pirate it, as VerizonGuy would have you do, because he believes the software is free and apparently doesn't acknowledge that software actually costs money otherwise it's Warez and stealing.

First of all, I know that it is not free. I know you are supposed to pay for it. Somebody paid for it, and was generous enough to share it with the rest of us who don't have the extra $30 or $40 for software when I need to be saving for COLLEGE! 👿 If you want go ahead and pay moto for it for me be my guest, in the mean time, 👿 👿 I'll be saving for my TUITION AND BOOKS! 👿 👿

and that makes pirating software ok. Let your morals rest on that argument. yays you feel squeaky clean. if you're going to steal don't try to qualify it and then have a pity party.

hey blinkman, lay off the kid, I'm a student in college and I know first hand that you need to save every penny you can get. VerizonGuy, go ahead, you need the money, don't listen to what blinkman is saying.

I really could care less if he steals it, but he qualified why he steals to somehow try and make it ok. It's not like he's stealing bread to eat. He's stealing software so he can take the pictures he takes with his phone off of it to his computer. Hmmmm... lots of expensive technology there.

You're stupid. Go back to your bag phone and Win ME computer and stop asking stupid questions that have been asked a bazillion times that you could either search the forum for (hint: the NEXT button at the bottom of the page) or google.

thank you for your responses, but i am a bit confused. does this mean that i cannot upload any photos until i install motorolas software to do it? i tried the d-link bluetooth adapter and it uploaded my phone list, but not photos. so what i am understanding is that motorola makes you purchase software to do this and it's not a bluetooth adapter, but a cable? i have windows me, will that version work for this? thanks again!!! 😁

its up to you, you can download the software for free from the website i recommended in the moto phonetools v3.2 thread, or you can pay moto for it, but you have to use motorola phone tools "mpt" to upload your pictures. the software is very user friendly, very simple, and very easy to use. most people you talk to about it will recommend it, i know i would in a heartbeat.

This software, Mobile Phone Tools, may not work with Windows ME as that operating system really isn't supported anymore due to the fact that it's unstable and terrible.

Hi Jennifer. I purchased the Motorola mobile PhoneTools USB Retail Kit. It supports Windows 98SE, 2000, ME, and XP. If you are using a BlueTooth adapter without mobile PhoneTools software, I'm not sure if you can transfer your phone files to your PC. At least I'm not certain. I'm not even sure how you were able to transfer your phone book. Anyway, the Motorola mobile PhoneTools software is a good package. If you purchase it make sure you get the 3.0 version and then do the live update within the program to upgrade it to the latest build. Good Luck.
