Motorola V551 / V330 / V547 / V555 / V557
V551 vs. V600 / V620
I am switching over to Cingular from T-Mobile but I am torn between the V551 and V600. I am finding internet retailers that still sell the V600 with a Cingular plan. I am also reading on this website and on other forums that Cingular will offer the V620 later this month or in December. Can anyone offer me their opinion on which is a better phone? I like the EDGE capability of the V551, but I don't think that it's available in my area. I personally think that the V600/620 is a more visually appealing phone compared to V551. Please let me know what you think.

Go with the V620, EDGE is good but not really used unless you do a lot of online stuff with your phone. Overall the v620 is better, better screen, cooler look, changable faceplates, alarms works when the phone is off, and all of the features of the v551.

Personally I'm waiting for the v620. No idea on how much its going to cost but I called Cingular not too long ago and they said that it would be out in mid November, however on the v620 page of this site someone said December; so in any case, pretty soon.

Here is the main difference between the V551 & the V620.
V551 - no add face, v600/620 = changeable face
V551 = EDGE vs' V620 = GPRS
V51 = 3.5 hours of talk time vs v620 = 7.5 hours
V551/600 - 65,000 colors vs 620 = 262,000
Both have Video capture, not the V600
Therefore the V620 is advantages for its talk time & its colorful diplay. If you are an internet user on your phone, you may seriously want the V551 becuase the V600/V620 are GPRS, very slow in comparison to Edge. Trust me I work in operations for Cingular, I use Edge/GPRS very seldom. This does not help me decide between phone personally. I will definitely get the V620 & get rid of my V600 becuase of the talk time & the colors.
