Has anyone had a similar problem?

I took my 3 month old V265 to the Verizon store because after any length of charging, the phone showed a low battery.

Initially the Verizon tech said, "I have seen this happen and it just takes a software update. Leave the phone and it will take about an hour."

I am not sure what he is getting at with the corrosion on the accessory port comment. But here's how they tell if your phone has been wet. Under the battery stuck to the phone is a small round white dot. It turns red when exposed to moisture.

My battery went bad after 3 months as well. (I got it the end of Feb.) I took it back and they give me a new battery. (Sat 5/21) They also said I needed a software upgrade. Since then I've had 3-4 dropped called a day. Before the software upgrade I had maybe 1 dropped call a week... if even that. I'm taking it back to the store tonight.

It takes quite a bit for the white dot to turn red. Like the phone has to be submerged in water... walking through a parking lot in the rain isn't going to do it.
