I have a Motorola 331T that's just over 2 years old, with Cincular. Before that my SO & I had Startec (mine had issues, his is still fine), before that I had a Nokia. Mine were always the cheaper phones as I didn't use it much. He now has a V60 that has been trouble free.

I like the 331 except the ringing is hard to hear in the car (older noisier car) and my reception is horrible compared to the V60. Verizon just came out with a family plan that's comparable to the Cingular one and I've been unhappy with the Cingular customer service for years, so I'm ready to switch.

I was looking at the V265 as my accessories will work on it and my boss has one and it works fine for him. Reception is better than my 331, reviews here say reception is ...

I haven't heard of a bad batch of phones on the V265 at all, but you should be able to find it at Circuit City or Radio Shack if your Verizon store doesn't have it. Verizon still has it online.

I had to talk to Verizon yesterday anyway and asked them about it. He told me that the issue was the pix being skewed and there is also a bluetooth sync issue. All the ones at the Verizon stores, Radio Shack, Best Buy etc were pulled and repaired. Not so at the independant agents, which is who I talked to the other day. So hopefully I'll end up OK.

Thanks!

The V710 had a camera skew proble, not the V265. I think the person you talked to was confused because the V265 doesn't even have bluetooth.

Ah well, so much for believing all was well then. Maybe I should try a couple of more people. ;)

Alltel had us pull them because of a speaker and mic issue it caused static on the phone made it sould like bad reception but really wasn't. I haven't had a customer come back with a 262 that we sold and say they were having this problem more than likely Verizon is haveing the same issue. We never got around to ordering any of them anyway out of the 10 262 we had I had to send 4 back for various problems mostly the key pad didn't light up and the customers wanted that.

Uh, the key pad has an auto light sensor (underneath the bottom left clear rubber bumper) that triggers the light only when needed. Works exceedingly well.
