missed call/voicemail alerts

My old v60i had a missed call alert - it would emit one loud beep every five minutes or so.

Does the V265 have this feature? If so, how do i activate it?

Thanks!

On the v265 it works the same as v60i. To change go to settings - ring styles - detail - reminders - select beep, vibrate or off.

thanks! But it looks like it only works for voicemails, and doesn't notify you of missed calls. The v60i did both.

huh? is there a different way to activate it? I go to menu, settings, ring styles, detail, and then set reminders to beep. I tested it with missed calls and it won't beep.

I don't see any other way to activate it. I just tested mine and it works. You won't get the beep until "missed call" is displayed on the screen for exactly 5 minutes. I never timed my v60i but I think it was the same.

My bad - you are absolutely right. I thought it always beeped right away on my v60, and then beeped every 5 minutes.

I apologize. it works.

By the way - have you had any problems with the phone not acting like it's closed? I've read of one other person having this problem. I close the phone and the little switch doesn't catch, so the phone still thinks it's open and displays the VZW logo on the outer LCD while closed. I'm going to return mine and get a new one because of it.

I saw that problem reported on the forum and got one phone returned to the store. When I played with it, I was able to get the switch to work by pushing on it, so I don't think it's software. I would return it for a new one if I were you because it probably won't get better or get fixed with new software, unless you can make it start working by pushing on it.
