No Voice Dialing?

Qzic

Jul 31, 2004, 2:51 PM
I see from the tentative specs here at phonescoop that the Razr V3 does not support voice dialing. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

While many may find voice dialing unnecessary, for a Bluetooth phone, I consider it a deal breaker. Consider this, with Bluetooth, you can leave the phone in your bag/trunk/pocket/briefcase/other room and us a Bluetooth headset to voice dial the number you want. Without voice dialing the benefit of having a Bluetooth headset is greatly reduced.

So, does anyone know if it has voice dialing?

I have my voice set up in my address book but no bt headset. I have held the "voice soft key" and spoken my "home" into the mic, but it doesn't dial, nor does it prompt me to dial the phone. Cingular cant help me and either can Motorola support. This is my last chance, how do you get voice dialing to work??

I just tried it with my razr, i trained the voice name in the phonebook saved changes. Then I opened the phone, hit the voice key and it prompted me to say the name so I did. It scrolled to the record in the phonebook and after about 10 seconds it dialed the number.
