I went to a cingular store and the manager told me the price of the Motorola RAZR V3 is going to be $400 dollars i advise u 2 look 4 another phone because this price is 2 expensive 4 a phone with not alot of features.

I use over 10K minutes per month and have had every phone there is to have and you have to be very careful not to judge on specs alone. The V3 is worth it. Best phone I have had and I paid 800. the MPX220 has a lot more features for example but I used it for a week and it was CRAP.

That doesn't make any sense. I believe that Cingular's pricing structure is for example on the 6230 No contract: 299, 1yr 249, 2y 199. This is how all the phones I have seen are, and it doesn't make sense to change it imo.

This is not always the case. I would say that structure is used about 40% of the time. About 70% of the time there is only a $50 difference between the one year price and the two year price but many times there is a larger difference between retail and the one year price. Also, the prices differ from market to market.
