Mcoop....

Excellent review you posted on User Reviews. I couldn't have said it any better myself. I wanted to write something like what you wrote responding to people crying about the price, but, didn't have the time due to my travel commitments. The Porsche & Sterling Silver analogy was dead center!!!

Cheers

Since you are referencing my review I'll respond.

You will not find a bigger phone junkie than myself. I am willing to spend quite a lot to get what I want/need in a phone and have done this over and over.

So... my complaint about the V3 isn't the price... it's about the value. Consider the value you get for $1K. Your phone and you can look pretty cool. My contention is that Moto could have done an even better job of making this phone look and feel cool in the hand by paying more attention to the design details.

Not necessarily better, just special, different and fun. When I first bought the phone, I visited several cell phone stores looking for accessories (pain in the ass). Many people were looking at different phones stating how nice they are. I told them "t...

If you had paid $500, you might not feel so bad.

There is no way the phone should cost a grand, that is pre-release gouging(or supply and demand. Depends which side of the cash register you are on). It should be around 1/2 that with a contract when released.

If you had to have it first, and way overpaid in the process, that is not the fault of Motorola. .
