Contrary to the posting by Wireless_Guru, Verizon and Alltel are both now featuring the Soho. It is shown on both their web sites.

If this phone is so bad (as the Guru and a few other bashers have claimed) why are these additional carriers picking it up?

The truth is, it's an excellent entry level phone and it has many features not usually included on lower priced flips.... Outside display, speakerphone, excellent reception, great sound quality, ability to make and receive calls without opening the flip (when using the earbud that comes with the phone).

If you are looking for a basic flip phone that is sturdy and functional, the Soho is the one for you!

Well, it shown up in the VZW website here in the Midwest (Kansas City to be precise) yesterday afternoon and when I check this morning, it's showing out of stock. Wow!!! Gone in 24 hrs. Either it's selling real good or it's a POS and they pull it immediately, but I think it's selling real good since it's only $40.00

Verizon is charging more for this than other providers -- $39.95 with a 2-year contract. Alltel's price is 99¢ with a 2-year, and US Cellular is $19.95 with a 2-year.

But I guess that is the premium you pay to buy and use a phone on Verizon .
