What will happen ?

My VZW contract will expire on April this year and it looks like my family has chosen to stay. I'm able to renew around the 20th this month.

I really like the Nokia 6256i but the only problem is that it's not offered at VZW Corporate stores and i don't think my father would want to go to Best Buy just to buy that phone for me.

Can i renew my contract at Best Buy like i could at a corporate store ? If i renew my contract then i can get discounts on the 6256i and that would be a huge save on money because i don't want to spend $270 on this (not that it's not worth it but i'm hoping to switch to the 6265i when it comes to Verizon 🙂 ).

While my mom has yet to try out the other features on the phone, reception wise, she's happy with it. Her Nokia 3589i has done well with reception, but she got tired of hitting keys on her old phone that she wanted a flip phone. She just wanted a basic flip phone, but most VZW corporate stores & kiosks no longer sell the Samsung a650, which is what I have. The features on my phone suit her better, but she's happy that she has great reception on the Nokia 6256i. And, she got it free when it was offered at the CC VZW kiosk in Hobart Indiana. She only paid for the car charger & leather case.

I bought the phone at CC during that deal when you could get the phone for $29.99 using your NE2. My parents each got one using their NE2 and they also each got the Jabra BT150 for free with the phone.

I bought my phone outright w/o a contract to replace my 8100 that I wanted to get rid of. BEST DECISION I EVER MADE! I only paid $238.41 for the phone and I sold my 8100 for $210.

So basically, the phone cost me $30 and I got my mom's bluetooth headset that she got because she will never use it. She only uses her phone for ringtones and making calls.

One other thing, Diego worked so well on this phone plus Nokia lets you download their PC Suite for free!

So you bought your 6256i at Circuit City using NE2 discount when you renewed your plan ?

I bought it at the full retail price of $240. I sold my LG VX8100 on eBay for about $200 and the difference between the cost of the Nokia and the money I got for the LG on eBay allowed me to get the Nokia for like $35.

I think they stopped selling this phone at Circuit City. That's what my Dad told me. ☚ī¸ Major disappointment. I was hoping to own this phone. Oh well. I have to settle for the 6236i. Maybe it's not AS great but it's better than what i have now.

It's weird though. They just told my dad the phone is out of stock and they're not ordering for it anymore. I'm mad !! 😡 Why would it still be on display though ?

If they DO manage to restock it, can i return the 6236i for the 6256i ?

That's pretty weird though. I've been told by numerous Verizon employees and even the guys at the Nokia Expereince Center that this phone will come to direct stores "soon". I once got a "very soon". Why would Circuit City say that they're not going to order any more and yet still put the phone on display ?
