mp3 Player Help

DocB2

Dec 2, 2005, 11:00 PM
Anyone figure out how to play more than a single song? I finally received my MMC card, put a new folder on it but it will play only one song at a time. As noted in another post the "Play in Sequence" command plays only a sampling of each song in the folder.

I used the software that came with my bluetooth adapter, and transfered the files directly to the card. After you get the files on the card(no seperate file is needed apparently), you need to open your music player and select options track list, options, refresh all tracks. Thats it. Easy as cake. It's also in the manual.

Does this technique work on the Verizon phones as well?
Thanks

I don't believe it works, the Nokia Rep I spoke with told me that playing them in sequence is only an option in the 6255 model and verizon made sure it did not exist cause of their Vcrap since they want you to pay for the music and download it from them not from your computer...Complain to Verizon

I think Verizon DID kill the mp3 player software that the 6255 version of the phone had (you can still play mp3s, but only one at a time.. boo) but it makes no sense why they would do that.. the 6256 does not have EVDO (broadband), so it really wouldn't be a candidate to download songs over the air with VZW's music service anyway.

VZW is being a little crazy wit' their feature-crippling crap.. there was simply NO GOOD REASON to remove the mp3 player from ths phone (not that it matters much to me, since I use an iPod anyway). Pretty whack on their part.

Unfortunately it's their Vcrap that they want everyone to use for MP3s...nonetheless I am never going to buy that crap...in fact we shold start a list of disgruntled verizon customers that won't use their Get it Now and Vcast...maybe they'll catch on

Did ya read my post? It wasn't VCAST that caused the mp3 player to go, since the 6256 is non-EVDO and can't even get VCAST.

There was some other reason, wish I knew what. Verizon is gettin' pretty annoying.. luv their network an' coverage, but they do some stupid things features-wise to some otherwise-good phones.

Your petition sounds like a good idea.

Done. Tho' you might wanna throttle down on some of the 'socialist' rhetoric you used in the petition.. it might cost ya some sigs, an' corporations, after all, are in biz to make a profit.

I jus' don't like how far over the line VZW is in some cases in doin' so. ☹️
