Nokia's website says this phone will be enabled with "Bluetooth Specification 2.0, Handsfree, Object Push, Generic Access, File Transfer, Headset and Serial Port profiles, as well as Bluetooth headset, laptop and car kit profiles. To ensure compatibility with other devices with Bluetooth technology." Doesn't this mean that the phone will have more than just bluetooth for headsets?

The phone will automatically suck because of the limited Bluetooth? Nah.

Whether or not its worth it will depend on how they price it.

You sure? On Nokia's site, it says 'Only available in stores' on 6256i page.

Also swung by a Best Buy, Radio Shack, and Verizon store yesterday... no sight of the 6256i yet. ☚ī¸

Which phone? 6255i or 6256i? I think the question was geared towards the 6256i for VZW not the 6255i on VZW or any other carrier.

I am most interested in this response.

The Nokia 6255i is out for most regional providers and Alltel.

The Nokia 6256i is not in any VZW stores.

Here is what Nokia own website says on Oct 12

Yeah I know that, but the poster had claimed to do something and was unclear which model he had used. We all know that some phones appear in some people's hand prior to market release and perhaps this person had a 6256i. The discussion was arround BlueTooth support and that may differ between the 6255i and the 62561.

verizon's will be headset only, guranteed! I have played with the demos anout to come out and that is how they were set and as of now the mp3 was taken off, hopefully they will put it back in the phone prior to the actual launch as well as the fm radio.

The phone I used was the 6255i. From what I understand the 6256i will have full Bluetooth capability.

that's what i keep hearing, but the longer verizon keeps it in testing the more i think they are tweaking it to verizonize it. i am personally not keeping my hopes up as that was the vibe i received from the higher ups.
