it seems that the compatable service providers for this phone are AT&T Wireless, Cingular, Fido, Rogers AT&T, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular. If any more please add

I'm with Suncom (located in Virginia)...which is a member of the AT&T Wireless network. Since this phone is compatible with AT&T Wireless, does that mean it will work with Suncom (who again is a member of their network)???

If it is on the at&t gsm network it should work just fine, but if you wait just a little longer it will be fully on the market and you will know for sure.

I actually saw this phone in Vegas this past week. It was at one of those electronics stores that sells all the cool gadgets. I have to say the phone looks great in person, but I am just not sure how they get their hands on them before any US carriers release it. Would that phone work on AT&T GSM 800 or is it a foreign version? Any ideas?

Its probably an unlocked phone from Europe, but since its unlocked you should have no problem using it w/ AT&T Wireless. 🙂

If you read the Info page, you would see that it does have support for the 800 (same as 850) MHz band. This means that it should give full functionality to both Cingular and ATTWS which use the 800(850) and 1900 MHz bands. T-Mobile only uses the 1900MHz band, so this phone would probably be less useful on their network.

Thanks for the info on the 850 MHz compatibility. The price tag on the phone in Vegas was around $500+...way too much!

Correct. I was just worried that the "unlocked phone from Europe" mentioned would not have the 850MHz, and I still believe that it would not.

If it is the "Eurasian" version, then you are correct, it will not have support. Best to verify which version you are getting before you make the purchase.

I'm sorry but US Cellular will not carry the 7610 becuase they are CDMA provider, where the 7610 is a GSM phone.
