LG VX-6100

Love the features, hate the voice quality. I seem to be the only one here with that complaint. Took it back and got a new one and still the same trouble. Am getting 6 bars much of the time. Absolutely impossible to talk when the other party is talking. I travel up and down eastern Mass. and this seems to happen everywhere. Newest firmware: t61vzv02. I'd love to keep this but I'm at my wits end. Anybody have the same problem, or better yet can suggest a solution ?
