After doing the firmware update

Would it be odd or problematic if after doing the firmware update (v.2) my pictures are still on the phone?

The Verizon tech told me all images and ringtones I downloaed would be lost, when I went back to pick up the phone, I was suprised my downloaded wallpaper was still there. Is that something I should be concerned about?

Also, does anybody else feel their battery runs down faster after the update?

It is not odd to have them still there. The update process backs up any stored media. If the tech screws up the process or interrupts it the data can be lost. So to cover their asses they say that.

Did you check your software version when you picked it up? MENU, 9, 9. S/W version should read t61vzv02.

On the battery issue I have seen chatter on the boards regarding this but have not had the issue on my phone. But I use mine heavily, so the battery drains daily. The thought is that in order to maintain greater signal strength and less fluctuation more power is being used, but that's not confirmed.
