Yes! Please do...I'd like to see how this phone compares with the 9900. So far I'm loving my 9900, but if the 6100 will endure another 2 years better than the 9900...I'll think of switching.

I posted my preliminary review, but ran out of space for the rest. So here it is:

Overall, I like this phone and I’m pretty sure I will keep it unless something drastic happened between now and when my 15 days are up. So far, the reception has been very good, I have no problem getting good signal at my desk, and I like to compare this or any other phones with my work cell phone (Nextel) since I have no service just about anywhere (including standing right under a Nextel tower), the real test will be when I travel to an analog area (which is quite a few in Missouri). The sound quality on this phone is very good and I don’t have problem hearing the conversation even if I’m in a crowded place. The only thing I found (and I’m sure VZW will fi...

How does the service indicator light function? Is it like the VX-7000?

Since I'm not interested in the 7000 because it's an all digital phone, I didn't do very much research on that phone. I assumed you mean there's a LED on the top edge of phone that will flash green if you have signal or red if you have no signal? If that's the case, there is no service indicator light on the 6100.

From looking at the phones internal pictures from the FCC document there seems to be a light underneath the plastic next to the camera lens on the right. I'm not talking about the flash which is on the left side of the camera lense. What does that other light do???

That light comes on when you are turning the phone off or on. Its like the light on the 7000. It changes colors from Red/Green/Orange when it is powering on and off. Then it goes away. It also lights up when you receive calls, text, pix, voice-mails, etc.

When the camera is on then no but when you hit the button to take a picture then it lights up green but its not that bright so you really can't notice that much.

The light flashes red/green on an incoming call, it also is Red during charging, and Green when finished charging.

I have never seen so many complaints about a phone under Forum. I am exchanging a Samsong a650 (which is overheating) for the LG 6100. When I looked up different phones under phone scoop people seem happy with their phone. But I wonder if I've made a big mistake with the 6100. One reason I bought it is because the SARS number is so low, I wanted a phone that wouldn't overheat and I was looking for a safe phone for the whole family.
