Red Message Indicator?

In one of the reviews, it was mentioned that there is a red light that indicates a text or voice message waiting. Is there a setting for this? Mine only blinks green occasionally, or when the phone is ringing.

A single LED behind the mirror blinks green when there's a signal and red when it's charging or when out of network range.
