LG VX-8000
I just played with it
Impressions: The size is not a drawback at all, its actually good- esp. if you have man size hands.
And it looks good too, better than the 7000.
The problem with it is that it is too heavy, and the weight is not evenly distributed- its more in the bottom.
The pictures actually don't look very good on the phone either, probably b/c its screen is only 176X220- but i assume they look better off the phone.
And I definitely don't like the menu system, same as 7000.

The 9900 is a great phone and had the best features and best display at the time. Actually the display of the 9900 is the one the current phones have to live up to. BUT....... you are too late, it has been discontinued. 😢
You can check the 9900 Forum and do a search on how you "might" be able to find a phone, other than Ebay.
If you do not need EV-DO or are not going to use an SD card, then the 9900 has a good feature set. Otherwise, look at one of the new phones to be released.

You keep on saying the 8000 has a really good inner screen, but I don't like it- looks the same as the 7000 to me, pixely. 😛 Motorolas do a better job of smoothing out the image. I hope the 8940 does too. IMO phones w/QVGA screens are the only ones to get. 😉 The 9900 didn't have enough features for me (mp3, bluetooth, expansion card/ big memory, higher speed data, etc.)But its somehow not offensive compared to other phones and has the ni
