Anything new?

This still dissappoints me. I realize it's been a couple of years, but this phone had alot of promise.

Moto hasn't really come out with anything spectacular in a long time. Yes, they have the new iPod phone, but I've heard that it has the same operating system as the v400, the RAZR, the v551, and every other phone they make. Have they really come out with anything great, besides the mpx 220?

I still have the MPX 220, and love it. There's absolutely nothing new out there that I would like any better, mainly because I like the flip phone. That's exactly why I was excited about this one.

Any new news out there? I'm probably talking to myself, because everyone else has given up on this one, too. 😕

Havent given up, but i have on MOTO, instead of taking the time to build a quality piece of hadware, they call Apple say lets us rebrand a phone and have us a quick-hit. Looks to me like we'll both have to wait a long time, my eyes are now on the MOTO Q. If at all that phones does come out 2...

Yeah... I like all of these NEW, cash-cow phones there coming out with. Sometimes I think part of the problem is Cingular, as well. I mean, let's face it, 90% of all cell phone customers wouldn't have a clue on how to use something like the MPX or even the MPX 220. Therefore, Cingular would just rather keep it simple.

All of these phones have the same basic O/S and form factor: V300, V360, V400, V500/525/505, V535/545/550, V540, V551/330/547/555/557, and V600. I know that each one has improved on the other, but just think about Moto's return on investment for R & D. They've had to do almost nothing for the last 3 years, and yet, people keep buying the latest V phones.
