Best Buy 1.30 phone is missing functions!!!
My new phone does not have any advanced phone settings on it so back to BB I go. Specifically, I want to deactivate the Flip Answer feature as described on page 14 and 64 of the users guide. When I go to start>settings>more>more>phone settings, nothing is there. My .342 had some functions there. Everyone better check out their 1.30 phones!

Could it be in a different menu folder? Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Man, I'm both excited and very nervous about receiving my MPx220. Some are thrilled and others still have bad things to tell. Although, I don't know if I too would want to deactivate the flip answer option, but one never knows... 😕

I just got my MPx220 today and, for the short while I was checking out the phone, (before letting it got back to charging) I specifically saw that option to change the "flip answer." My phone is version 1.30, the only problem is, I was playing with the phone and can't specifically recall where that option was found, but I promise you brother, it's there!!

I took it back and got yet a third phone. This time both an large orange sticker and a small black dot. This one seems to be fine...finally. Now to figure out how to use all the functionality!!!

"Press and hold the blue action key and switch on the phone. If it asks you to format press yes.After you have to power it on again.
After this my menu>8>9>9>1 WORKS!

I am new to this website, i bought the motorola mpx220 from bestbuy a week ago and when i checked the version it said operator 0.250 and on the manuafacture it said 1.3 so i returned it a couple of days ago, isnt that an older model and are u suppose to look at the operator or the manufacture? anybody that knows i would appreciate some help so today i give bestbuy a call and i asked which version they got now and they told me operator 0.180 and manufacture was 1.3 im staying away from bestbuy it seems they keep getting the older version.

The number beside "Manufacture" designates the firmware version and 1.3 would be the latest version that I know of as well as the version that I have.

It sounds that way. Forget the operator sequence of numbers. It is the Manufacturer numbers that count. Mine says 1.30.0.0

Getting corporate email on the road is one function I want to figure out. I am not there yet. Is Xpress Mail the only way or is there another? The rest of the functions are fine - just that the learning curve, at least for me, is steep.
