This forum/website is being taken over w/ advertisement. Any one else noticed this?

Probably because us idiots caused so much extra traffic checking this board every 10 minutes for 5 months. They gotta pay for bandwidth somehow.

Hmmm, I clicked on one of the ads here which said V710 and it took me to a site that allows you to pre-order the phone, and has some deals on headsets, etc. It is stated that they are expecting their phone shipments the week of Aug 2nd.

Here's the site

Maybe this altered heading will attract attention, most people don't seem to notice my posts for some reason.... 😢

Anyway, please look at my previous post for the site, I also just noticed that the price is $449.95.

Here is the link to my previous post; keep in mind that I clicked on an "ad" which I saw here on Phonescoop itself.

What does everyone think of the website where you can preorder the v710 and get a great deal on a bluetooth headset? All the ebay and auction scams have made me very wary of trying to get this phone online, but this site seems pretty legit....

There are a lot of legit ebay auctions selling the headsets cheap.

i'm sure that headsets being sold on ebay are legit, due to the fact that headsets can be purchased anywhere....its the handset scam that i'm worried about because there is obviously a huge demand for this phone with no availability yet

There is no more advertising on these pages than anywhere else on the site, and the amount of advertising has not increased since last October when the whole site was redesigned.

In fact, as of a few days ago, there is actually slightly less advertising in the forums. The large Google text ads on the right, and the small ads below them, were removed from the main forum pages and message lists.

On the message lists, the large Google ads were replaced with a much smaller Google space (2 ads instead of 4) in-between the 5th and 6th message/thread.

So overall, there are less ads now, and more room to view the message lists.
