Lexus LX470

I have a Lexus LX470 (well, my boss does anyways) and I have paired the phone with the truck but I can't transfer over the phone book from the phone to the truck. Is this because of the lack of OBEX capabilities or am I missing something? this is quite a problem because it basically prevents you from calling out while driving.

yes you are doing nothing wrong. that part of the blue tooth is crippled for now, but may be changed later with firmware upgrade.

You can call while stopped and then transfer
the number from the log to 1 touch dial. That is what I did on my ls. A work around till the bluetooth is fixed.

Does the one touch dial go away after you turn the car off? I did enter several numbers on it but they went away. I havn't been able to experiment further. Also, if I had a non-crippled phone do you know if I could transfer numbers using that phone and then use that phonebook with the v710?

My one touch dial's, of which I have only 3 saved so far, have remained programed.

I would think the phonebook in the car, no matter from which phone it was transferred, would dial the current phone it was paired with.

I had a GSM phone a while back that I downloaded my Outlook phone book to the phone and then transfered it to the Lexus LS430. The phone bbok works fine with the v710 now. Go thing, as we all await a software fix to allow us to transfer the phonebook from the v710.

Cool, I am glad to see that works. Have you fixed the problem with getting the phone to ring? I know it is obvious when the radio turns off but if you are not listening to the radio you have to notice the screen.
