Tips on keeping HS810 Headset from sounding muffled?

Hi,
I bought the 810 yesterday, but am having trouble getting a consistent sound when talking to people. People say I am muffled and they can't understand what I am saying, sometimes(not all the time).

I have read all the posts to try to find out if the 810, 820, or the Jabra headset 250 is the best. I want to have a consistent clear sound so that people understand me.

Maybe someone has had this problem and figured out the right way to place the boom to eliminate problems. Any help would be appreciated. Love the case, and the fact that I can use the same charger. I really want to keep this. Help! Jen

Make sure the boom is not touching your face and all should be well.

That's interesting. From the pics, it looks like the mic on the 810 is on the inside/tip of the boom, while on my HS800 (prev. generation) I think it's on the outside. Can anyone confirm, and is having the HS810 touch your face a common problem? I haven't heard this issue before.

FYI I've had people complain that when I'm outside in the wind using my HS800 the wind noise is too loud, so I wonder if that's why Motorola moved it?

I remember many people posted about this on Howard Forums in the Motorola and BlueTooth forums that if the boom is touching your face, it's blocking the sound. The HS810 does fix the wind noise issue as you can see on the new HS820 review on www.mobileburn.com - they said the HS810 is superior to the HS820 in that respect.
