THIS JUST IN! talked to Motorola CS!
SEPT 1st - Verizon service centers will be able to flash your phone with new software to enable BT features and fix other software problems... Motorola is working hard to get all the bugs workded out and will provide this software update to Verizon in the next 2 weeks.
He guaranteed that all normal BT capabilities including transfering ringtones, pics, video, and web access would be implimented in the new update.

This is the only thing that will make me keep this phone. Who did you talk to and how do I call and talk to the same person.

I'll be happy to give a whoo whoo when my phone is flashed and it works...until then my experience tells me to sit calmly and do something else. 🙂

Of course, the flash update will wipe everything out of the phone, undoing all the customizing of the phonebook, etc......

Flashes will not wipe anything at all. Flex will wipe everything off the phone. These are two different things. S/W is the flash version. Flex is the software version.
