How much did you pay for the V710?

I have seen varying prices:
1) www.vzshop.com/motorola
$319 - $70 rebate = $249
But this is for a new contract.

2) www.verizonwireless.com
I logged into my account and chose upgrade phone, and they were offering the V710 for $419 even though I should be eligible for Ne2, I didn't see it reflected.

3) What if I walk into a store? What's the cheapest you are all getting this phone for?

I paid $219.99 today (with New Every Two instant $100), and will send in the $70 mail-in rebate to bring the price down to 149.99. No sales tax here in Oregon! 🙂

So the NE2 promotion requires that you originally had a 2 year contract?

I thought it just required that you had maintained service for 2 years. I have had service for 3 years, but they are telling me I am not eligible for the "New Every 2" promotion because I only had a 1 year contract originally.

Anybody confirm this? Verizon's website just says "maintain service" for two years at $34.99 or above.

can anyone else confirm the NE2 promotion for maintaining service for 2 years, not for having a 2 year contract?

Not really. I'm a bit concerned as well since I originally did the last New Every Two on 04/15/2002 for a two year contract. On 08/12/2004, I did the New Every Two for the V710 which got me the phone at $219 - $70 rebate = $149 + tax but my contract is only renewed for 1 year instead of two. I'm just concerned if I'll get a new phone with the discount assuming I don't do anything for the next 22 months.

U'll get a discount but only the promotional discount which is the early upgrade and that's what i did to get this phone...I renewed my contract feb of 2003 to family plan and i bought the T720 at that time(flawless at first till a few months ago...but that's beside the point)...and i was e...

Yeah but that's different. Remember I'm on a 2 year contract and I actually did the NE2 on the 26th month of a two year contract and they renewed my plan for 1 year and not two but I got it on the NE2 $100 discount and then my current plan still shows the NE2 as a feature. When I did my NE2 in 04/2002, I was actually on a one year contract too except I was on the same plan since 06/2000 so I wasn't on a two year contract either and New Every Two didn't exist until a few months after 06/2000 so I probably got lucky. So I guess in your case, you're doing a early upgrade on a two year contract but I renewed for 2 years under NE2 and somehow they put in the contract as 1 year but it still lists the NE2 as a feature. This is what the website ...

Me too. That's what it says on my receipt too but somehow I guess he put in 1 year instead of 2 year as both vzw website and CSR on the phone confirmed that I have a one year contract now and still have New Every Two listed as a feature.

I paid the same thing you did in San Francisco with a $35 tax except when they renewed my contract, it is for 1 year but I still have New Every Two listed on my features. I didn't even realize it until Customer Care told me on the phone because my Mobile Web wasn't working as I didn't have the National Access feature which they had to add. I wonder if I don't change it to two years, will it affect my New Every Two two years later if I decide not to change plans after a year due to their mistake. vzw.com shows 08/12/2005 as the end date of the plan as well.

🙂

I went into the Verizon store in the Denver Tech Center and the phone was on the shelf for $299 with a new 2-year. I was eligible for NE2 so I got it for $199, 10% off of accessories and I got the $70 Mail-in to boot.

I think I got a great price on the phone, but unfortunately I don't think the phone is worth it. The Bluetooth integration with the Prius and BMW sucks, the interface is (IMHO) quite cumbersome, and the camera is a poor implementation at best. My wife's free LG camera phone takes better pics.

What is up with the BMW integration that you do not like? I am considering getting this phone for Bluetooth integration when it is available hopefully for my 530i.
