I can't believe not one person has asked this question! Those of you who have the V710, how is the software on the phone? Is it slow like the T720/730 was? The ONLY reason I am hesitant about this phone is b/c all color motorolas have ridiculously slow lagging software. I hope they made improvements..so those who have it please respond. Thanks!

This was a case of the CSTN technology on the T720/T730 series.

TFT LCD is supposed advertized to have much better performance.

This is the first moto I've had since the startac, but I can say I did notice the lag in the software. From the time you press a command on the screen, there's almost a full second delay for it to move sometimes. And when you're scrolling through pictures too fast, the phone just freezes and resets.
🙄
This confuses me because the phone has 10mb of memory. Wonder if there's a way to increase how much is used for RAM vs ROM. I guess it's a trend for moto's, but I'm happy with my purchase anyhow. Maybe new firmware will decrease the lag. 😕

Thank you for bringing this up. After I totally busted my v60, i ended up getting the crappy c343 b/c it was the cheapest phone verizon had (and i had to pay FULL retail for the piece of crap) and its is INCREDIBLY slow!!!!!!!!! It's frustrating espescially when i text people.

Weird - I see no lag at all, it moves very quickly from one screen to the next . . . and I am known for not being very patient.

Same here - no lag - at least nothing worth complaining about. Granted I'm coming off a T608, for those of you who know what that's like you know what lag is (4-5 seconds!) But no, the V710 menus are fine for me.

that's what i was afraid of.. 😢 I will probably pick the lg vx7000..although the motorola has a 1.2 mp camera and speaker phone (two main advantages for me) I simply can't stand those slow lagging menus. I like to work with my phone very quickly, and my current 6000 does just that. zero lag. the vx7000 should be a nice upgrade..post your thoughts

I had the VX7000 for 2 weeks and I really like it. I just wish it had Speakerphone.

I could deal with no Bluetooth since Verizon restricts it anyway.

If you have no problem with the blue color, having no speakerphone and no analog then the LG VX7000 might be the phone for you, as for me, I'm going with the V710...

The firmware isn't slow at all compared to how slow it was on my T720. 🙂
