I am interested in syncing my new phone [not purchased yet] with my Palm Tungsten E PDA, so that I can get email and browse using the cell phone as the modem. Does anyone know how to do this? Is it a big deal?

THANKS!!

I have a palm T3, and have successfully link the two together. You have to click on the phone setup program on the palm, since v710 does not yet have a bluetooth profile with palms software, you must select the T270, I think. Don't worry there is only one Motorola phone listed in the setup. Make sure you press the "find me," button in the V710 bluetooth setup menu when you perform this palm program.

If successful the palm will allow you to call numbers listed in your address book on the palm. Because palm does not have a protocol to access verizons data network you still cannot transfer data through the phone, ie. email, Internet. I have not found a way to send the contact database from the palm to the V710. Hope that helps. If any...

Hi,
I'm a Mac user and was planning to purchase the PalmT3. Please let me know if you are successful in data transfer to the V710. Thanks!

I am a Mac user also, but have the v600 (AT&T Wireless) and a Tungsten T3. The above setup works for dialing from your phone, and you will be able to transfer data with additional proper setup from Verizon.

Right now the v600 is not supported with iSync, but Apple is working with Motorola and an update should be available, with support for the v400, v500, v600 and v710 sometime in September, maybe before. In he meantime I use ONSYNC, which works great. It syncs with the Mac Address Book and Entourage, and if you use the Palm conduit to sync Address Book, then all your Palm contacts will go to the phone. I think Address Book also allows you to control which ones to sync and not sync.

Hope that helps you guys. 🙂

I have a Tungsten E as well and I don't believe it has Bluetooth. I think you have to purchase a Bluetooth card for it, don't you?

Just joined PhoneScoop today but have been working on the V710 working with a Palm Tungsten T, not T@ or 3. Sadly to say, no luck yet. Read alot of threads but so far nothing on the T model, everything is on from the Zire71 up to T3, but nothing on specifically the T model. Anyone know something about that? Have contacted both Palm and Motorola with no results, is there an update or something to get those two to work together?

Direct response are more then appreciated they are needed!!! @ raptor452002@yahoo.com

Thanks! 😁
