Thanks, and External Display Info

I want to thank the PhoneScoop community for providing such good information so that I was able to get my v710 at RadioShack on Friday. I am not well and it cheered me up alot. Thanks.

A couple of observations:

1. Earpiece Volume.
Holding the handset so that the earpiece is directly over my ear makes it a lot louder, but I think I'd want to be able to turn it up still more in noisy conditions.

2. External Display.
Looking at the external display closely you see vertical stripes rather than individual pixels as you see on the main screen. The colors are more subdued and not nearly as rich as on the main screen. In comparison to the 7000 in your opinion the ext. screen is better on which phone?
