I completely expected this to be the case...I seem to recall RS getting at least one phone (Samsung T300) *months* before VZW stores (in this market anyway) ever had it!

I remember the T300 because a friend of mine had one before I ever saw it at VZW. I thought that he might have some killer connection for new phones until I realized that he just got it from RS. Also, if I am not mistaken, there have also been a couple of phones that RS has carried and VZW Corporate Stores have not. I do not believe that the RS release date is absolutely based on VZW's because I have seen these inconsistencies before. The RS flyer dated 3 August also speaks loudly that RS may get the phone before VZW rolls it out. Check out the puny quantities that each RS store is receiving. VZW has probably delayed their rollout for a week to build up enough inventory of this highly anticipated phone so they don't sell out of it in t...

I had a T300...and guess where it came from: RS. 🙂

Even though Radioshack will be getting the phone first it still benefits Verizon Wireless. More Customers will sign up for new service and some customers who may of left because they are looking for something like Bluetooth will stay and upgrd and sign a new contract.Overall its a win win for both companies. The only downfall is for those who want to take advantage of their New Every Two discount will have to wait an extra couple weeks. But 100.00 savings is a 100.00 savings.
