Hello,
I just received the replacement phone I ordered from the v710exchange website and I have a question. I need some help. I opted to buy a phone without a contract. My question is this...once I activate the new phone will I be under contract? It sounds like a stupid question but the verbiage on the package is scaring me.
Also, as soon as I activate the phone the number will be ported over right? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Getting the phone without a contract should leave you just where you currently are with Verizon. If you have no contract - then no contract.
If you have x months left on your current contract, then that is what you should have left. Look on the paperwork you got with the phone. About half way down one of the pages it should say the term of your contract. I do believe though that your NE2 will reset and start from the date you got the new phone.
As to activating the phone, once it is activated (registered) on your account, your number will be on the phone.
