if you're talking about NE2 (new every two) and getting the $100 credit, i believe you can use it if you're like 22 months into it. cause my two years is up june 4 i think, and they said i could use my credit april 4. i hope this helps, CS is pretty good about explaining it, i'd just *611 'em.

I hear you. Mine is up June 1st. I hope I don't lose the "every two" waiting for this V710 phone.

Does the NE2 promotion expire? Mine is eligible for upgrade May 31st but lets say the phone doesnt come out till October (possible), would I be able to use this?

FYI. I got the Old V60C.. Im still in the dark ages. Although I beat the crap out of this phone and it still works perfectly.I'm almost weary of upgrading since this phone held up so well in the past 2 years. Its like a toyota camry of phones.

The NE2 does not expire unless you change your plan in some way that affect it. For instance, some plans, I think the $59.99 one can allow you to upgrade at 1 year instead of 2. If you switch from say that to a lower plan at $39.99 then you need to wait your 22 months. But if you go up in $, then the NE2 will not expire at all.

You can only upgrade your phone if you are on a plan of 100.00 dollars or higher at any time within your current contract. There are circumstances that would allow one to do so earlier but it is very rare. The NE2 requires that you be on a plan of 35.00 dollars or higher for at least 22 months of a 24 month contract. At that time you will recieve a 100.00 credit towards another phone at the time of purchase. If you lower your plan below 35.00 dollars then you are removed from the NE2 program and would only recieve the standard discount on your phone once you are 2 months away from the end of your contract.

I'm new to VZW and was wondering if they offer any discount to their customers who buy new phones regardless of the NE1/NE2 programs. I just ported over and got an A530s (Samsung) and am planning on getting this V710 when it is released. While I'm prepared to pay full retail, I'm curious if VZW is known for cutting its customers a little slack.

Do people read this whole discussion thread before asking questions!? Here's my post from 2 days ago in this thread which has Verizon's official upgrade policy. I copied it directly from Verizon's email response to my question about it.

Sorry king gratz im in the same boat...mine is not upgradeable till june 1st...I tried to change the date but the verizon rep told me if i did it would take another 2 years before I could upgrade...in some ways it sucks but it will give the phone a chance to be tested by the true users of the phone to see if there are going to be problems and such...I dont think that there will be but it give me time to play around with the one on display...I truley cant wait till this phone comes out though...just my two cents worth...

You said June 1st you can upgrade. Why would you be worried? The phone won't be on the shelves before then.

I asked Verizon a question on their website at the beginning of this month to confirm my understanding of their equipment upgrade policy (i.e. getting a new phone at the subsidized price). I asked them if it's true that you can a new phone at the subsidized price 10 months into 1 year contract or 22 months into a 2 year contract. Here's the response.

Dear Sam,

Thank you for contacting Verizon Wireless through our website. We appreciate your inquiry regarding upgrade eligibility, and we are happy to assist yo...
