Speculation, rumors, heresy

Just stop it already. As a pissed off VZW cust and RadioShack employee with a cdm 9500 that's taken a beating, I'm just fed up with all this @#$! smack people keep spewing about when a phone comes out especially when they claim they are the ceo's cousin's friend or insider rep with all the info, when really they dont know jack $%@! about release dates. Just let us wait for the damn phones that are gonna cost 500+ because Verizon knows we'll pay it just to get a more tech advanced phone.

Well that's my rant for the day...

😛

Yes, but without the insider info from the stepbrother of the cousin who cleans the CEO's bathroom, this forum would be dead. Isn't it a lot more fun to read the weekly "...its gonna be out this week!" than to see the last post was last week?

that sucks, but I think I'm in a bit tougher situation. Contract up in May, can get new phone with $100 off with NE2. I have the stylish Samsung T300, which is currently being held together by a nice rubberband 🙂, I want to get the next camera phone out, but I want to wait for the 710 oh so much ☚ī¸ I dunno if I can wait till July for this phone....

I feel your pain. I'm in the same boat. My new every 2 is up on April 21, and my best option (the LG VX6000) has been around for about 10 months.

I'm not sure when the V710 will be out, and Motorola's recent history makes me somehow think "Delorean". I'm leaning toward the LG VX8000, but that may not be out this year, the way things are going.

But you should do what I did. When my LG TM510 clamshell decided to clam up for the last time, and broke apart on me. I went on EBay, got a cheap replacement from a reliable seller and figure I'm good for another 6 months minimum. Look up Samsung T300 on EBay. You'll be surprised at how cheap you can get a used one in decent shape. Not everybody destroys phones the same way we gadget whor...

Amazing huh. Because I was desparate it didn't bother me that much. But once again, EBay to the rescue. I got a data to PC kit for little more than the $10 I paid, and I won't get stuck again.

Because they're so piggish with their margins, they will continue to get further squeezed out of the aftermarket until they wake up. It's actually very near getting to the point where their "retail without contract" pricing is so ridiculous that I could get a popular new phone on contract activation, cancel the contract, and then turn around and sell the phone at a net profit over their cancellation fees.

Anyway, I'm getting off topic.

I do still think Verizon has the best network even if their phones are the new age equivalent of the rota...

getting a eBay phone to hold me off might be a good idea. I do have a Sprint Sanyo 8100 lying around, but I don't have the time to research how to unlock and convince a verizon employee to program it. Unless someone wants to help me do it, *wink, wink*

Well I'm definitely not the one. Cross carrier activation is tricky. I can tell you that nothing is easier than activating a previously activated verizon phone. You can do so online.

Guess you have a point. I'm just frustrated and really want a new phone to play with especially one I can explore the potential with on my new pocket pc that has bluetooth.
