I suppose that all depends on what you need from a phone. The vx7000 has a slightly higher resolution camera (1.3 Mpixel vs 1.2), faster network capabilities (1xev-do vs 1xrtt), but it doesn't have an expansion slot (?) and it doesn't have bluetooth. Also, the v710 might come out a bit sooner since verizon will probably want to release the vx7000 when they launch their 1xev-do network later this summer.

Opps, my bad (the day is only half over and already way too long). I was thinking of the vx8000. I don't there can be much of a comparison between the vx7000 and the v710. The feature set of the vx7000 looks pretty rich but the v710 has both expandability and bluetooth over it (though the vx7000 will undoubtedly be cheaper).

All of the upcoming megapixel cameras have the same resolution...1.3 = 1.2....believe it or not:

the actual resolution is 1.28...most manufacturers round that number up to 1.3

motorola however rounds it down to 1.2 (prob to avoid legal issues)

I agree with BigFlavor. My guess is between $350-400 with a contract considering that AT&T is charging $300 for the V600 with a contract and the V710 has more features like a higher resolution camera with flash (the V600 has a 640x480 camera without a flash), TransFlash memory card slot and external color display. Plus the GSM phones from AT&T, T-Mobile and Cingular always seem to be a lot cheaper (with a contract) than their CDMA counterparts. I really hope it's less than $300 because I find it a bit expensive to spend more than that on a cell phone.
