🙄 They said the phone had changeable faceplates. WRONG.

😳 If you change the Color Style (Menu, 7, 2) on the phone the external display changes with it. You get a choice of 6 colors: Moto (blue), Silver, Midnight (purple), Jade, Tangy (reddish) and Solar (yellow).
😳 You can use an MP3 as a ringtone right now ... there is no update to wait for. Either move the MP3 to the phone with a TransFlash card, or just change the file extension from MP3 to MID and mail it to your...

I'm a bit disappointed in CNET for this one. I had come to rely on their product reviews but this review will push me to look elsewhere to confirm or refute their reviews from now on.
My last phone was the Samsung a310. Cnet gave that phone a 7.3 and I thought it was about right. Good (not great) RF and reliable basic features. The v710 puts the a310 in the stone-age and Cnet gives it a 6.7??? Granted, the phone is not perfect and VZW has gone too far in binding some of the features but it does have awesome RF and more features than just about anything out there.
I would think it earns at least a 7.5 in todays market with some sort of...

Anyone who has handled the phone for 2 minutes can see the faceplate does NOT come off the phone. And where were they looking that they found MotoMixer??? Were they even looking at a V710?
And they are supposed to be professional cell phone reviewers?
