Motorola V180 / V186 / V188

Main display screen BLANK...?

Help--I just bought a used, unlocked v188 and it powers on, but the main screen is blank. I can even make a call, but the display is dark. I can't find any troubleshooting info on the Motorola website or anywhere else--any ideas? Thanks!
