Motorola V180 / V186 / V188

ok I downloaded the proper driver for windows exp and when i plug in the usb to the phone and turn it on it makes that noise saying new hardware is activated but then i dont know where to go from there?? how do i upload ringtones and pictures onto it. if it was an Mp3 player i would jus goto my computer and click on removeable drive but there is no removeable drive when i plug the phone in so where do i go after i plug it in????
